MUGIC® Quick Start Project

For Max users:

Download Max (if you don't already have it)

Max is a flexible software platform for creating interactive applications, including audio and visual programs. It allows users to connect different objects and components together to build custom software, without requiring extensive programming knowledge.
Our current Max Patches support Max 8 as well as Max 9.

Download MugicConnectStart2024.zip

This needs to go into the path user/Documents/Max 8 (or 9)/Projects folder. If Project folder doesn’t exist please create one.
  1. Go to your Document folder, locate Max 8 folder, locate (or create) a new folder named "Project" and put this MugicConnectStarter2024.zip. Then unzip.

  2. Then open a file named MugicConnectStarter2024.maxproj. If the patch doesn't open automatically, select MugicConnectStarter2024.maxpat from the Project window.

Download MUGIC2Player

Collection of patches to start people off. Examples of how to use MUGIC.

Follow "GettingStarted MUGIC" tutorial

Demonstrations of PITCH, YAW, and ROTATION motions that you can use to configure MUGIC. We also show examples of how to use JOLT, ENERGY, and STEADINESS motions.

For Ableton Users:

Download Ableton (if you haven't already)

Download MUGIC2_example Project.zip

IMPORTANT: Put this MUGIC2_example Project.zip into [User]/Music/Ableton/User Library folder, so all the dependencies will load.
